Remediation & Restoration
Remediation projects range from simple contaminated soil removal to more complex remedies such as groundwater purging and soil incineration. Robinson Noble offers comprehensive services in the area of site remediation, including cost estimating and other planning-level engineering services. Site restoration is designed to restore viable ecological habitat for protection of fish and wildlife after it has been disturbed by anthropogenic activities and may be required following, or in conjunction, with site remediation for specific water bodies, wetlands, or sites. Robinson Noble professionals are experienced in investigating and supporting restoration designs for a specific water body, wetland, or site.
For larger sites with complex contaminant issues, Robinson Noble prepares Feasibility Studies to define, evaluate, and select remedial alternatives as defined under MTCA and/or CERCLA regulations. Robinson Noble scientists have earned and maintained credibility with regulatory agencies for environmental compliance and negotiation. When a site investigation indicates that contamination is serious enough to warrant remediation, our staff clearly conveys data and information regarding the nature, extent, fate, and possible remedial alternatives both on- and off-site to clients and stakeholders. We can also provide support with contaminant source identification and recommend source-control actions in addition to post-remedial monitoring.
